The most representative white grape varieties in the region are Moscatel de Setúbal and Fernão Pires, also highlighting the Arinto, Antão Vaz, Síria and Chardonnay.

It is the main variety of the red variety of the region of the Península de Setúbal. Intense color and full aroma. With aging they soften, becoming more elegant.

Castelão

Fernão Pires is one of the most widely planted white grape varieties in the Península de Setúbal.
D. O. Palmela white wines are fresh wines, with a balanced structure, fruity aroma and elegant palate. On the other hand, whites with I. G. Península de Setúbal, generally present with good acidity, extremely aromatic and sometimes intensely floral.

Fernão Pires

Well structured wines, with very smooth and harmonious tannins.Of intense color and full aroma, the fruits of the forest and the montage and spices predominate. With aging they soften, becoming more elegant.

Moscatel de Setúbal

Wine of great aromatic complexity, it is extremely balanced in the mouth, allowing to obtain the freshness of an intense wine, presenting very complex aromas and flavors of bitter orange, raisin, fig and hazelnut.
The main difference compared to Moscatel de Setúbal lies in the pink variety used in its production, being the only one recommended for the D.O. Setúbal.
