Tasting Notes:
Moscatel Roxo of Setúbal presents a bright aspect, of a dark golden topaz colour. On the nose, the floral aromas, the dried nuts, honey, raisins and caramel are highlighted. All of them are characteristic of this grape variety. The aftertaste is very persistent and is the outcome of a great balance between sweetness and acidity that contribute to an elegant, complex, fresh and vibrant spirit wine. Susceptible to the formation of deposit and turbidity.
Gastronomy:
Dried nuts or buttery fat cheeses. As a dessert, it matches perfectly with the Portuguese Conventual Confectionery (pastries or sweets based on egg yolks and sugar).
